Important update to shop hours

Thursday, May 14

We are so fortunate to be able to be open for business and help you get outdoors on your bikes. Thank you, Governor Inslee, for including bicycle shops in the category of essential work forces. We recognize that we are part of a large community and feel strongly about our responsibility to that community. There is nothing like riding a bicycle to get some fresh air, clear the mind and enjoy the less-traveled roads we are currently experiencing.

One of the circumstances of the current demands of being part of that essential work force is that we are overwhelmed with the repairs and sales that have happened in this past month.  It has been wonderful to have so many Island and Kitsap County riders bring in their bikes for repairs.  We have been working overtime and on our days off to keep up with the demand, thinking this was a short-term push we needed to get through. But we're still not able to keep up, we've run out of space to store bikes waiting to be fixed, and we don't want to disappoint our patrons with longer than a 2 week lead time.

To give us time to catch up, B.I.Cycle Shop will be temporarily closed to walk-in traffic from  Monday  5/18 through Tuesday 5/26.  We will reopen on Wednesday, 5/27 at noon. This Sunday 5/17 is the last day for over a week to visit the shop.

Repairs already at the shop and new bikes ordered and test rides will be worked on and we will call to arrange time for you to come to the shop when they are finished. How can you help us help you? PLEASE, PLEASE listen to the voice mail that we leave you before you call back. If you need to contact us, please leave a voice mail (206-842-6413) or use this form to send us an email.

If need to contact us with an emergency request, to schedule a repair, or shop for a new bike, please use this form to send us an email. We'll get back to you as soon as we can to make accommodations. Please include your phone number.

Thank you very much for your understanding and patience during this challenging time and for having us help you with your cycling needs!

Electric Bikes

We’ve got a wide selection of electric bikes that can be used to make it easier to ride around on the island, or use instead of a second car. Battery technology just keeps getting better and better, so come on in for a test ride and experience the joys of an e-bike.

Our goal is to

  • provide first class service.

  • give support to the entire spectrum of bike customers.

  • offer resources that go above and beyond the sale of a bicycle.

We have a bike for you.
Our wide selection of bicycles means we have offerings for all cyclists, from beginner to advanced riders, for every age group and every riding style. Our custom built bikes also allow us to offer unique items for unique individuals - those who want the precision and power of a tailored fit. If you’re not sure what you want, no problem - our experienced and friendly staff would love to share their insights and knowledge about biking and help you make the choice that is right for you!

Our bikes are professionally built and tuned by an experienced mechanic.
Not all bikes are created equal. Even purchasing the same brand of bike from different shops does not imply the same quality. Bikes come to shops disassembled in boxes, and need to be professionally built and tuned to provide the best possible service life and safety. Not to mention, every person has different characteristics and needs that may require some adjustment to a bike before it goes out the door. Alternate saddles, handlebar positions, tire styles and widths are all things that can make a big difference for a rider. Every rider that purchases a bike from us will receive special attention to the way it fits.

Test Rides and Fittings.
As previously mentioned, our staff wants to be sure you get a bike that fits. Test riding, and having our staff evaluate your positioning in a bike-trainer at the shop ensures that you will walk out the door with a machine that fits you perfectly.

Every new bike comes with a free checkover, and adjustment after the first month.
Bikes require maintenance. It is important that after you’ve ridden your bike a few weeks, and sufficiently broken it in, you bring it in for its first service. Cables can stretch, spokes can loosen, and things may settle in a bit. We provide this first service for free, included with your purchase.

We stand behind our products.
If you have any problems with products you purchased from us, we will assist you. We also like to know what you think of the products, as this helps influence our choices.

We’ve got great gear and accessories.
We stock our store with great accessories and equipment such as jerseys and clothing, lighting systems, helmets, pumps, locks, hydration systems, computers, and plenty of other fun and useful items.

Gift cards available.
If you're looking to buy a bike or accessories as a gift, but aren't quite sure about sizing, color, or anything else, gift cards are always a good option. If you're out of the area, just call or email us to make arrangements.

…if you want the best personal assistance with evaluating all the choices, stop by B-I-Cycle. Talk with Tom Clune, the owner. He has helped me with my awesome Specialized Turbo Vado eBike. I LOVE IT. I used to ride 1200-1800 miles a year. After a back surgery, the hills were too much for me. So enter eBikes. And the Vado feels and rides like a bike, but flattens the hills! And now my wife wants one too. Tom will make sure you get the one with a proper fit, that works for your own personal style. Thank you, Tom.
